When your bag holds a full-frame DSLR and a heavy telephoto lens, the tripod has to hold its ground. The SLIK PRO 700DX is designed exactly for this purpose, it carries heavy gear steadily on both level and uneven surfaces, with no compromises needed.

The tripod's secret lies in SLIK's own AMT super-alloy. This titanium-alloyed aluminum is 40% stronger relative to its weight than the ordinary aluminum used in most tripods. In practice, the legs are both lighter and stiffer than competitors' in the same load-capacity class, yet the price stays reasonable.

The size is genuinely full-scale: simply by extending the legs, with the center column down, the camera already reaches eye level for most people. Raise the smooth, jerk-free, geared center column, and the camera reaches a height of as much as 1,900 mm, more than enough for even the most demanding studio or outdoor shoot.

The quick-release system has also been designed with practicality in mind: the round quick-release plate lets you mount the camera facing any direction, which speeds up your workflow considerably compared to traditional square plates.
